Internationale Ausgabe Nr. 5 von t – Das Magazin für Teekultur.
International Issue No. 5 of t –The Magazine for Tea Culture

From the very beginning, t-Magazine has seen itself not only as a magazine about tea culture, but also as a reportage magazine: a place for compelling stories by renowned writers, researched and photographed on location – and, on occasion, even illustrated, as in our Japan edition.

We are convinced that, even in the age of AI and video calls, the most powerful stories are born where people meet face to face, and where landscapes, climates, fragrances and flavours can be experienced first-hand.

This issue, too, is shaped by encounters made possible through travel. Awardwinning National Geographic Explorer Justin Jin visited tea families in the UNESCO World Heritage landscape of Jingmai Shan. Jeff Fuchs, the legendary explorer of the Ancient Tea Horse Road, contributed evocative portraits and landscapes captured during his historic expedition. Our author Diana Jendoubi visited tea projects in Texas and festivals throughout the US. And t-Magazine
co-founder Olaf Tarmas travelled through Yunnan for this issue, as well as visiting tea artist Olivier Schneider in northern Thailand.

Join our authors on these extraordinary journeys – and allow yourself to be carried
away on a reading journey that is as sensory as it is compelling.

This issue contains some texts from the German editions, but also features many articles written exclusively for the English edition. At 100 pages, this is our biggest issue to date.
